KEO International Consultants is currently hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its high-performing team in Dubai, UAE. In this role, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of large-scale construction projects. You will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure cost control, budget accuracy, and compliance with contractual obligations throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the overall project budget, delivering regular cost reports and ensuring that financial targets are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the preparation and execution of procurement processes, tender documentation, and contractor selection aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Administer and manage FIDIC-based contracts, handle contract reviews, variations, claims, dispute resolution, and ensure contract compliance.
- Generate detailed cost estimates covering material, labor, and resource requirements, and offer advice on value impacts related to schedule and methodology.
- Keep precise financial documentation including transaction records, cost reports, contractor claims, and payment schedules for stakeholder and senior management review.
- Review and negotiate changes or variations, documenting each one while assessing its budgetary and scheduling implications.
- Identify cost-related risks and propose effective mitigation strategies to control overruns and schedule delays.
- Engage in value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or design standards.
- Act as the primary advisor on financial matters, fostering productive relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants, while addressing any commercial concerns.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in cost control and project budgeting in large-scale developments.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and industry-standard cost control practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead value engineering exercises and risk management strategies confidently.
