Role Overview:
Emirates Stallions Group (ESG) is recruiting a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost control and commercial management across landscaping and construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate BOQs and estimates, managing variations and valuations, and ensuring projects remain financially viable from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project budgets.
  • Carry out precise measurements, valuations, and produce variation orders as works evolve.
  • Monitor project financials closely to maintain cost control and protect profit margins.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations; prepare tender and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors on commercial matters and cost-saving measures.
  • Certify progress claims, process payments, and keep thorough commercial records for audit and reporting.
  • Assist in claims management, cost forecasting, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in the UAE/GCC, ideally on landscaping, construction, or maintenance projects.
  • Strong command of measurement techniques, BOQ preparation, and cost-management best practices.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions and UAE construction regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and commercial/QS software tools.
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities on multiple projects.
