Description:
Proxym Middle East is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join its growing team in Dubai Media City. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about software quality and enjoy working in a collaborative, agile environment that delivers innovative digital solutions for financial institutions and public and private sector organizations.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing software testing activities, identifying and tracking defects, and working closely with development teams to ensure reliable and high-performing applications. You will also contribute to improving testing practices while supporting quality standards across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, execute, and maintain software test cases and report identified defects.
• Establish and implement quality assurance standards and inspection procedures.
• Design and improve product inspection workflows and quality control processes.
• Collaborate with developers and project teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Track defects through their lifecycle and verify successful resolution.
• Recommend and implement improvements to QA processes and testing methodologies.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on quality assurance best practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience using Jira, TestRail, or TFS.
• Hands-on experience with Appium and Java.
• Strong knowledge of:
• API testing using Postman.
• Performance testing with JMeter.
• Automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
• ISTQB Foundation Level (ISTQB-FL) certification is required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good understanding of software testing best practices, version control, and defect management.
