Hiring QA/QC INSPECTOR

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Fabtech International is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of fabricated components, aligning with project specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Quality Standards and Inspections:
• Ensure quality standards are followed during all stages of production.
• Support QA/QC Engineer in regular inspections and tests (dimensional and visual).
• Plan and monitor NDT activities as per drawings or project requirements.
• Check weld layers, audit welding practices, and verify handling of welding consumables.
• Inspect preheat, post-heat, and PWHT activities, and verify charts.
• Knowledge on Welding Processes
• Witness pressure, leak, vacuum tests, and trial assemblies.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document inspection and testing results.
• Maintain test records and controlled documents promptly.
• Report quality issues to QA/QC Engineer or Manager.

Technical Expertise and Compliance:

• Apply knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME, and other relevant codes.
• Identify and report NCRs when required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education  : ITI/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical as applicable)
• Experience : Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience preferably in structural or oil & gas
• Technical Certification : Certification such as CSWIP, BGAS, or equivalent is an advantage
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced production environment.
