Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services using Python and serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda)
• Define and enforce best practices for writing robust, maintainable, and functional-style code
• Architect event-driven systems leveraging AWS and other modern cloud platforms
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests, following test-driven development (TDD) practices
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, data engineers, QA, and frontend teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and help establish team best practices
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimize performance and improve code quality

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of professional Python backend development experience
• Deep experience building serverless / Lambda-based systems
• Strong functional programming skills, including lambda expressions, closures, higher-order functions, and map/filter/reduce patterns
• Proficient in unit testing, mocking, and TDD
• Excellent debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning capabilities
• Solid understanding of modular software design, error handling, and resilience
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional remote teams
• Familiarity with AWS services like DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, and CloudWatch is highly advantageous
