Job Vacancy: Purchasing Supervisor
A well-established hotel located at Novel Hotel City Center in Abu Dhabi is currently looking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Supervisor to manage and streamline procurement activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring uninterrupted hotel operations by maintaining efficient purchasing processes and strong supplier coordination.
Job Summary:
The Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring that all goods and services are procured in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner while meeting hotel quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the purchasing team to ensure efficient and timely procurement of materials and services
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules while ensuring quality and cost control
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate closely with various departments to meet operational requirements
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with hotel policies, budget controls, and quality guidelines
- Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement performance and supplier evaluations to management
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Candidates must be locally available in the UAE and willing to attend a face-to-face interview
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality sector, including supervisory exposure
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Holding a valid UAE driving license will be considered an added advantage
