Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our team in the FMCG industry. The candidate will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring products and materials while ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and supporting seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors
  • Source and procure FMCG products, raw materials, and packaging according to operational needs
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize cost efficiency
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, and service standards
  • Maintain and update the approved vendor list regularly
  • Track market trends and competitor pricing to support procurement strategies
  • Ensure all purchased items meet required quality and specification standards
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and finance teams for inventory and payment coordination
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation for audit and reporting
  • Handle import/export documentation if applicable
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of purchasing experience in the FMCG sector
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
