Job Title: Purchase Officer
About the Role:
We are seeking a Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities for flooring, interior and fit-out projects. The role focuses on sourcing quality materials, negotiating favourable commercial terms, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring purchases meet project specifications and budget limits. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, suppliers and logistics partners to keep projects supplied on time and on cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers for flooring, interior finishes and fit-out materials locally and internationally.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and contract terms to secure cost-effective arrangements.
- Issue and process purchase orders, LPOs and supplier agreements in line with company policy.
- Maintain and grow vendor relationships and develop new supplier networks across the UAE and overseas.
- Ensure purchased materials meet company standards, technical specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams and warehouse staff to forecast needs and manage inventory levels.
- Monitor supplier performance for quality, lead times and service; investigate and resolve any supply issues.
- Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance and logistics arrangements for international shipments.
- Keep accurate records of supplier details, pricing, contracts and procurement reports.
- Track market trends and material innovations relevant to the fit-out and flooring sector to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements & Skills:
- Prior experience in procurement, purchasing or a similar buying role (experience in fit-out, flooring or interior projects is an advantage).
- Strong negotiation, supplier management and vendor evaluation skills.
- Familiarity with import/export processes, documentation and logistics coordination.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase lines and meet project deadlines.
- Competency in maintaining procurement records and preparing regular purchasing reports.
- Awareness of market trends and materials used in flooring and interior fit-outs.
