Wiley is seeking a driven and experienced Publisher to join its global publishing team. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about research publishing, relationship management, and advancing scholarly communication. The position focuses on managing society partnerships, supporting journal growth, and contributing to strategic initiatives that shape the future of academic publishing.
As part of a collaborative and innovative environment, the Publisher will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders including learned societies, universities, and healthcare institutions. The role involves managing contract lifecycles, supporting renewals, and identifying opportunities for long-term portfolio growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of publishing partnerships including learned societies, universities, and hospitals
• Maintain strong communication with partners to ensure alignment with journal growth and open access strategies
• Support renewal of journal publishing agreements and contract negotiations
• Collaborate with finance and senior stakeholders to prepare business proposals and financial models
• Conduct research and prepare documentation for contract renewals and strategic planning
• Assist in developing financial projections and budgeting aligned with publishing industry changes
• Contribute to cross-functional team efforts to ensure smooth portfolio management and growth
• Identify opportunities for innovation and strategic development within publishing partnerships
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in publishing, preferably journal or academic publishing
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Ability to analyze financial models and support budgeting processes
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Data-driven mindset with strong presentation skills
