The company is currently seeking an independent Proofreader to work on a contract basis, handling proofreading tasks as needed to ensure all publications meet high standards of accuracy and quality. This role is fully remote and requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently without supervision.
The selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing content on a per-job basis, identifying errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and clarity, and ensuring that all materials are accurate, polished, and ready for publication. The role requires strong language skills and the ability to maintain consistency across a high volume of work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and proofread content to identify and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
• Ensure clarity and readability of written materials
• Work on assigned projects on a job-by-job basis
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
• Deliver completed work within agreed timelines
• Communicate any unclear or problematic content for resolution
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of proofreading or related experience preferred
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general computer applications
• Access to own computer, internet, and required tools for remote work
