Compensation Range: $23-28/hr (W2)
Our client is seeking experienced Proofreaders/Editors to support increased workloads during their busy season. This role is key to producing accurate, consistent, high-quality content for employee-facing materials in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Proofread and edit documents for grammar, punctuation, clarity, and consistency.
- Follow client-specific style guides and editorial standards.
- Work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Communicate with project managers to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional editing or proofreading experience.
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable working under pressure with quick turnarounds.
- Flexible availability between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST, with occasional weekends.
- Reliable computer and internet access.
Preferred:
- Experience with employee benefits, insurance, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with tools like Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word (track changes).
This is a remote, part-time contract role ideal for experienced editors looking to support a fast-moving team during its busiest time of year.
