Terracon, a 100% employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm, is hiring a Project Coordinator to support its major projects team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative coordination on engineering projects and has exposure to construction-related workflows. The position is Remote Only and can be filled from various locations, preferably near a Terracon office.

Essential Roles And Responsibilities

Document Control

  • Maintain document control for assigned projects following established procedures to meet quality and client requirements.
  • Review billing activity to confirm compliance with contract terms and configuration management policies.
  • Receive, log, and enter project documents into the system, ensuring they meet client and document-control standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to complete documentation compliance across national account projects within scope and schedule.
  • Support a variety of document control tasks and manage systems so that documentation is available to site personnel when needed.

Project Support

  • Assist with delivering multiple projects — tracking cost, schedule, quality, information flow, contracts, and documentation.
  • Support management of budgets, schedules, scopes, design and construction contracts, and related procedures for assigned projects.
  • Communicate with clients regarding report status and delivery timelines.
  • Receive and process requests for proposals and coordinate bid responses with local offices, ensuring everyone understands client requirements.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets for proposal and project status and update intranet pages with scope, pricing, delivery, and quality information.
  • Work with national client contacts to manage proposal turnarounds and with local offices on invoicing and aging AR issues.
  • Keep project teams informed about status and delivery issues; follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
  • Uphold quality standards across assigned projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an engineering administrative support capacity (construction experience strongly preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and document-management skills.
  • Comfortable using project systems and maintaining accurate records.

Remote Status & Compensation

  • This role is classified as Remote Only; employees typically work from home and do not have a designated office workspace.
  • The national salary range is $26.50 – $37.00; final compensation will reflect the applicant’s location, qualifications, and experience.
