Description:
A company based in Riyadh is looking to hire a skilled Procurement Specialist to support its procurement and purchasing operations. This role is ideal for professionals with practical experience in supplier management, sourcing, negotiations, and purchase order processing while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle, working closely with suppliers and internal departments, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. Strong analytical abilities, commercial awareness, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle daily procurement activities and process approved purchasing requests.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, availability, and delivery performance.
• Prepare RFQs, obtain supplier quotations, and conduct commercial bid comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial agreements.
• Prepare, issue, and monitor Purchase Orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or commercial terms.
• Coordinate with finance, operations, warehouse teams, and requesting departments throughout the procurement process.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, supplier records, quotations, and supporting files.
• Support cost-saving initiatives while maintaining required quality and operational standards.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
• Practical experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and relationship management.
• Strong negotiation and commercial communication skills.
• Ability to prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and perform comparative bid analysis.
• Good understanding of the complete procurement cycle from purchase requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to analyze pricing, supplier performance, purchasing data, and lead times.
• Strong organizational, follow-up, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
• High level of professionalism, accuracy, and commercial awareness.
