We’re Hiring: Procurement Specialist – Military Spec Lubricants
Hamburg Trading House FZE (HTH) is expanding its procurement team and seeking a seasoned specialist with hands-on experience sourcing military-specification lubricants for Army, Navy or Air Force applications. This role requires a well-connected procurement professional who understands defense quality standards, supplier management, and commercial negotiating in a global market.
Role Overview
You will strengthen our procurement capability for defence-grade lubricants — identifying reliable manufacturers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliant, timely supply to support military and government contracts. The ideal candidate combines technical product knowledge with established contacts in defence procurement channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase military-spec lubricants and related specialty products from global manufacturers and authorized distributors.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships across defense-oriented supply chains.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead-times and supply agreements to secure competitive, compliant sourcing.
- Ensure procurement activities conform to military specifications, international standards and contractual requirements.
- Support preparation and response to tenders, RFPs and contract negotiations with military organizations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier credentials and compliance documentation.
- Work with internal teams (logistics, quality, legal) to resolve delivery, quality or certification issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ procurement experience in lubricants, oils, chemicals or closely related sectors.
- Demonstrable experience sourcing military-spec lubricants (Army/Navy/Air Force) and familiarity with relevant standards.
- Established network of contacts with manufacturers, distributors or procurement arms in the defense sector.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational ability, attention to detail and experience handling compliance documentation.
- Existing credentials or contacts within defence procurement channels are highly desirable.
Why Join Us?
- Work with a global supplier focused on high-impact, mission-critical products.
- Be part of a growing international team with opportunities to influence procurement strategy and business growth.
- Exposure to international tenders and defence contracting processes.
