Job Title: Procurement Specialist — Dubai
About the Role:
Azzurro General Trading is looking for a hands-on Procurement Specialist to own sourcing activities, negotiate supplier agreements, and coordinate international shipments. This role focuses on improving supplier performance, optimising costs, and ensuring smooth export/import operations across our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement procurement and sourcing plans that align with business needs and cost targets.
- Lead supplier negotiations and secure favourable commercial and delivery terms.
- Source, evaluate and maintain relationships with reliable and profitable vendors.
- Approve purchase orders, contracts and oversee delivery milestones to ensure timely receipt.
- Coordinate outbound logistics and manage shipping schedules to meet customer timelines.
- Prepare and verify export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists and delivery advices.
- Monitor procurement KPIs and use data to recommend improvements that lower costs and increase efficiency.
- Review contracts and ensure supplier compliance with agreed terms and company policies.
- Drive sourcing initiatives to enhance supplier performance and reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand demand and fulfil procurement requirements.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact operations.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, Procurement Manager, or similar role within a logistics or trading environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience specifically in logistics companies with hands-on import/export exposure.
- Strong understanding of international shipping procedures, Incoterms and export documentation.
- Excellent negotiation, networking and vendor management skills.
- Comfortable using supplier management platforms and conducting data-driven analysis.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with global procurement markets and sourcing best practices.
