Description:
A well-established organization in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong procurement expertise in the UAE construction sector, particularly in MEP, fire fighting, and civil projects.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing in line with project requirements. The company is looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage procurement processes efficiently using modern systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for construction-related materials and services
• Source and evaluate suppliers within the UAE construction materials market
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to ensure cost efficiency
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials as per project requirements
• Coordinate with project teams, engineers, and site staff to understand material needs
• Maintain and update procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of required materials
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and UAE regulations
• Utilize ERP systems and MS Excel for procurement tracking, reporting, and analysis
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field is required
• Minimum 2 years UAE experience in procurement within the construction industry
• Experience in MEP, fire fighting, or civil projects is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers and construction materials market
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel is required
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems is preferred
• Valid UAE Driving License will be considered an advantage
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
