Description:
Operon is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join its Facilities Management operations team. This role is well-suited for a professional with strong procurement expertise within the FM sector and the ability to manage both hard and soft services effectively. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the timely sourcing of materials, services, and contracts while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards across operations.
The position requires close coordination with site teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth procurement processes that align with business and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily procurement activities related to Facilities Management operations
• Source and procure services, materials, and consumables across both hard and soft FM categories
• Prepare RFQs and RFPs, evaluate quotations, and support vendor selection processes
• Issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), track deliveries, and ensure timely fulfillment of requirements
• Assist in vendor onboarding, contract negotiations, and ongoing performance monitoring
• Support management of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), subcontracting agreements, and manpower-related contracts
• Coordinate closely with operations and site teams for maintenance and project procurement needs
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and compliance reports
• Contribute to cost optimization initiatives while ensuring quality and service continuity
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline
• 4–7 years of procurement experience with a minimum of 3 years in Facilities Management
• Strong understanding of FM services, procurement workflows, and contract structures
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability with attention to detail
• UAE market experience is preferred
