Description:
Etihad Energy Holding is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement strategies, ensuring policy compliance, optimizing costs, and maintaining strong supplier relationships across the organization.
The role requires extensive procurement experience within industries such as shipping, oil & gas, petrochemical, or terminal operations. The candidate should have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of supply chain processes, and the ability to manage procurement systems, budgets, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and validate purchase requests from different departments to ensure accuracy, budget compliance, and business requirements.
• Coordinate with department heads and senior management for purchase order reviews, approvals, and execution.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitor procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide reports to management.
• Manage procurement documentation, approvals, and records according to audit requirements.
• Develop supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and reduce supply chain risks.
• Coordinate with Finance teams for payment processing and proper cost allocation.
• Support urgent procurement requirements during operational, maintenance, or emergency situations.
• Monitor market trends, inventory levels, procurement metrics, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Develop procurement strategies, policies, procedures, and tracking systems.
• Prepare procurement reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in Shipping, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Terminal Operations sectors in the UAE is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of maritime, oil & gas equipment, spare parts, chemicals, and service requirements.
• Strong understanding of procurement standards, logistics, HSSE, and local content regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Experience in drafting procurement policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to analyze data, evaluate bids, and make informed purchasing decisions.
