Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Procurement Manager to lead purchasing and supplier strategy for a busy construction environment in Dubai. You will design and execute procurement plans that support operational needs, secure reliable suppliers, and deliver cost efficiencies while ensuring compliance and minimizing supply-chain risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and project timelines.
- Source, evaluate and manage suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, reliability and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms and service-level agreements to secure the best commercial outcomes.
- Monitor procurement data and KPIs to uncover cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical sourcing standards and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, logistics and project teams to forecast demand and optimise inventory levels.
- Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and report on financial performance.
- Stay up to date with market trends, emerging risks and new technologies (including AI) to reduce disruption and improve sourcing.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong analytical, data-driven mindset for optimising procurement strategies.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for working with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Solid negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers, stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
- Knowledge of supplier evaluation, cost analysis, risk assessment and compliance methodologies.
- Good understanding of inventory management, logistics and supply-chain best practices.
- Proactive, adaptable, and focused on continuous improvement.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Prior experience working in the UAE is required.
- Experience in the construction sector is preferred, with a strong advantage for candidates who have worked in deep-foundation companies.
