Description:
A well-established organization in the cement manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, vendor development, and end-to-end procurement operations across its UAE facilities. The role focuses on ensuring cost-effective purchasing, reliable supplier relationships, and uninterrupted availability of materials and services required for smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute procurement activities for raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and services.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to secure optimal commercial terms.
- Ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules and maintenance requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, maintenance, finance, and stores teams to support operational needs.
- Prepare procurement reports, budgets, cost analysis, and performance updates for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on procurement experience within the cement manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of cement plant materials, spare parts, consumables, and sourcing practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management capabilities.
- Experience with UAE or GCC procurement processes and regulations is an added advantage.
