About the Role:
A great opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Engineer to join a growing construction team in the UAE. This role is suited for professionals with a solid background in procurement within the construction sector, especially those who have worked with main contractors and are familiar with local market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete procurement cycle for construction projects from planning to delivery
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value
- Prepare and review RFQs, BOQs, and conduct technical as well as commercial comparisons
- Ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials in alignment with project timelines
- Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, and commercial teams
- Track supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual agreements
- Maintain organized and accurate procurement documentation and records
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience within the UAE construction industry
- Proven track record of working with main contractors
- Strong knowledge of local suppliers, subcontractors, and current market conditions
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in procurement tools and Microsoft Office applications
