Description:
Emirates Link Nitco LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Engineer to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in infrastructure and wet utilities projects who possess extensive knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and material sourcing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services required for project execution. The position requires strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments to support project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services according to project requirements
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms
• Coordinate with project, engineering, and store teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery
• Prepare comparison statements and procurement reports
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor databases
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project specifications
• Follow up on purchase orders and delivery schedules to avoid project delays
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer in Infrastructure and Wet Utilities projects
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and material sourcing
• Experience procuring materials, equipment, and subcontract packages related to infrastructure, sewerage, stormwater, water transmission, and utility projects
• Ability to review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs
• Strong negotiation and supplier evaluation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
