Description:
SS Lootah Group is currently seeking a highly experienced Procurement Engineer to oversee and manage procurement operations for Civil and MEP construction projects in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in construction procurement and a deep understanding of the UAE market.
The selected candidate will be responsible for driving procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budget requirements
• Review technical drawings and specifications to determine material and service needs
• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Negotiate quotations to secure competitive pricing and maximize cost efficiency
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies
• Procure materials, equipment, and services for both project and maintenance activities
• Coordinate closely with engineering, project, and site teams to ensure timely delivery
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality standards and delivery commitments are met
• Address and resolve procurement-related issues, delays, and supplier challenges
• Utilize ERP systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite or similar) for procurement management
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement roles
• Strong experience in Civil and MEP construction procurement
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience within the UAE market
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills
• UAE Driving License will be considered an added advantage
