Description:
Seahawk Marine Shipchandlers LLC is looking for a motivated Procurement Assistant to join its team in Ajman. This role is suitable for professionals with procurement experience who can efficiently manage supplier coordination, quotation processes, purchasing activities, and documentation.
The successful candidate will support sourcing activities for vessel supplies and technical items while working closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and operations departments to ensure timely deliveries and smooth procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle daily procurement activities and coordinate with suppliers.
• Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and follow up on delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and operations departments.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documents, and reports.
• Ensure timely sourcing of vessel supplies and technical items.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in Procurement or Purchasing.
• Marine or ship-supply industry experience is preferred.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Procurement processes and supplier management
• Purchase Orders, quotations, and documentation
• Inventory coordination and supply chain operations
