Description:
Vallen USA is seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst to join their dynamic team and contribute to the Enterprise Direct Sourcing Strategy. This newly established role is central to supporting Category Management and Pricing teams, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach to supplier cost management and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Sourcing Strategy: Lead annual procurement events alongside Category Management, targeting reductions in total cost of ownership.
- Reactive Cost Management: Evaluate supplier cost changes due to annual adjustments or tariffs, offering data-driven recommendations and negotiation strategies.
- Proactive Procurement Activities: Assist in Category Reviews by managing RFPs and delivering supplier intelligence; analyze spend and supplier performance to identify sourcing and negotiation opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Category Management and Pricing to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Analytics & Reporting: Provide actionable insights through data analysis, market research, and financial modeling; support the development of standardized sourcing processes, reporting, and tools to track KPIs, cost savings, and supplier compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Effective communicator able to influence stakeholders with data-backed recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for process improvement.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with international sourcing, tariffs, and global trade dynamics.
- Knowledge of industrial distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale environments.
