Role overview:
The Pricing Solution Sr. Analyst will help design, build, and maintain pricing analytics and dashboard solutions that enable data-driven pricing decisions across McKesson’s PSaS organization. You will translate complex business needs into scalable analytics, strengthen data governance, and support advanced analytics (AI/ML) initiatives that improve pricing execution and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain pricing dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI) to surface product trends, customer segment insights, pipeline performance, and other actionable metrics.
  • Support metadata and data-lineage frameworks to improve governance, transparency, and compliance across pricing datasets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Pricing Segment, Brand/Generics, Pricing Intelligence, and Sales to define business problems and deliver scalable data solutions that influence pricing decisions.
  • Enable advanced analytics by integrating AI/ML capabilities where applicable to forecast pricing dynamics and enhance segmentation and pipeline analyses.
  • Drive the pricing transformation with modern reporting, automated workflows, and operational efficiencies.
  • Share best practices and mentor team members on data visualization, tooling, and analytics techniques.

Minimum requirements & critical skills:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in pricing systems, data analytics, or related roles.
  • 5+ years building dashboards, reporting solutions, and complex data visualizations in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years engaging with business partners and translating requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Advanced experience with BI/data platforms and SQL-based environments (Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, Business Objects, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work with large enterprise datasets, author scripts/queries, and troubleshoot data-quality issues.
  • Strong financial literacy — comfortable with financial metrics and terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and embed storytelling into analytics.

Additional / preferred skills:

  • Industry experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
  • MBA or advanced degree and relevant certifications (AI/ML or analytics) are advantageous.
  • Track record delivering large-scale enterprise projects and applying strategic thinking to ambiguous requirements.
  • High attention to detail, independent problem-solving, and strong Excel proficiency.

Working conditions:

  • Primarily computer-based work in a traditional office environment; substantial analytical and development time expected.
  • Role supports collaboration across a matrixed organization and will interact with multiple stakeholders.

  • Starting pay (Irving, TX area): typically between $125,000 and $145,000 depending on skills and qualifications.
  • Role may include additional compensation such as annual bonus (15% MIP), equity, and other incentives.
  • This role requires strong technical and stakeholder skills and will contribute directly to pricing strategy for a $300B+ portfolio.
