Synopsis
The Pricing Manager will be responsible for maximising Etihad Airways’ revenue by determining the quantity of inventory to release and setting competitive, segment-specific fares. This role relies on precise demand forecasting and continuous price adjustments to capture the highest possible revenue across Etihad’s markets.
Accountabilities
- Deliver: Achieve monthly revenue targets and ensure optimal commercial performance across the network.
- Set: Define pricing by market segment for Etihad products and services in line with pricing strategy and competitive benchmarks, securing alignment with Market Managers and pricing policies.
- Manage & Forecast: Oversee demand forecasting for multiple fare levels, with particular focus on optimising revenue during high-demand periods (holidays, events).
- Ensure Accuracy: Provide reliable demand and fare inputs that feed the revenue management optimisation engine to drive profitable outcomes.
- Adjust: Make daily pricing and availability decisions based on market conditions, economic factors and competitor moves to maximise revenue potential.
- Evaluate: Assess pricing requests from commercial stakeholders and set fares using data-driven, logical analysis and negotiation where required.
- Contribute: Act as a key stakeholder in shaping customer-centric product offerings and manage revenue management operations to meet commercial objectives.
Education & Experience
- Education: Degree-level education or equivalent analytical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a numerate, analytical role.
- Systems Knowledge: Strong familiarity with airline systems and data sources such as PROS, Origin & Destination systems, GDS, MIDT and management accounting reports.
