Intermountain Health is seeking a dedicated Premium Billing Specialist to provide exceptional support to Select Health Individual members and employer groups. This role focuses on assisting members with billing and enrollment inquiries via phone and other communication channels while ensuring compliance, accurate data entry, and confidentiality in all processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support & Billing Assistance
• Provide outstanding service to members through inbound calls and live chat
• Assist employer group representatives with account adjustments and payment processing
• Respond to billing, enrollment, and account inquiries with clear guidance
• Partner with internal teams to resolve billing and enrollment concerns

Payment Processing & Compliance
• Process member payments following financial controls and compliance protocols
• Assist members and agents in navigating enrollment platforms while maintaining data privacy
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and account updates
• Evaluate member accounts for reinstatement eligibility and calculate outstanding payment requirements

Documentation & Reporting
• Review and validate peer-submitted reinstatement requests for accuracy and completeness
• Adhere to internal policies and state/federal regulations
• Consistently meet performance metrics for productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction

Skills & Competencies:
• Professional phone communication and active listening techniques
• Knowledge of health plan eligibility, accounts receivable, and secure payment processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and digital systems
• Strong data entry skills, task prioritization, and time management
• Stress management, resilience, and problem-solving abilities
• Customer experience excellence and confidentiality awareness

Qualifications:
• Minimum of proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in healthcare or insurance
• Strong proficiency in CRM systems and data entry
• Excellent verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
• Preferred: experience in healthcare finance or enrollment operations, AP/AR, eligibility verification, or payroll
• Ability to read, interpret, and navigate digital and printed materials for efficient workflow
