Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Premium and Billing Associate!
About The Role
In this role, you will perform all functions pertaining to the processing and application of cash receipt for all Benefits Division Policy Holders. You will also process premium received from policy holder/TPA in a timely and efficient manner in addition to maintaining daily workload to ensure “same day” turnaround of remittances received, ensuring accuracy. As a Premium and Billing Associate you will review and distribute billing statements in addition to supporting monthly financial reporting needs, banking functions, meeting service level agreements and ensuring accuracy. You will also communicate internally and externally via email correspondence and phone calls.
What You’ll Do In This Role
- Accurate review and allocation of premium and reconciliation of daily premium reports for Benefits Division Policies utilizing various internal sub systems and identifying premium calculation discrepancies and variances in premium. Perform banking functions as needed.
- Support the premium analysts on the team by performing reach outs for information, allocating premium by request and documenting group files with detailed information for future handling.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers including phone coverage as needed, research and problem solving.

Compensation
Hourly Salary Range: $22.00- $29.08 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
Who You Are
- Detail oriented, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.; Excellent Customer Service skills
- High school diploma required College degree or equivalent experience preferred
