Description:
The Role:
Green Thumb Industries is seeking a Temporary Pharmacist to provide off-site clinical support for our Minnesota dispensaries. You will be the primary remote medical advisor for patients — guiding dosing, reviewing appropriateness of therapy, and delivering one-to-one education and counseling on cannabis products. This role requires strong clinical judgement and the ability to perform a prospective drug utilization review to ensure safe, effective treatment recommendations.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Assess patient certification and monitor for restrictions, advising patients on the most appropriate course of treatment.
• Conduct prospective drug utilization reviews covering therapy appropriateness, strain/dosage/route/duration, allergies, interactions and misuse risks.
• Provide accurate, timely medication information and clinical counselling to patients via phone.
• Educate new and returning patients about cannabis formulations, dosing strategies, delivery routes, potencies, expected effects and side effects.
• Support retail goals by contributing to patient retention and appropriate product selection.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state laws.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and industry research related to cannabinoids and therapeutic applications.
• Coordinate coverage for any planned time off and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Active, valid pharmacist license in the state of operation and in good standing.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience with a robust patient-focused approach.
• Demonstrated ability to learn cannabinoid pharmacology and how cannabinoids interact with the human body.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Thorough understanding of cannabis laws, rules and regulations and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning in this area.

Additional Requirements:
• Must pass required background checks.
• Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be approved by the relevant state badging/authorization agency to work in the cannabis industry.
