Description:
Amentum is seeking a detail-oriented Personnel Assistant II to support human resources operations in a structured and compliance-driven environment. This role involves handling complex personnel actions, maintaining HR records, and supporting administrative processes across staffing and employee lifecycle functions.
The position is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, accurate, and capable of managing sensitive HR data under strict deadlines. You will play a key role in ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with federal HR policies and procedures while supporting both employees and HR specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process complex personnel actions including rehires, temporary employment, and employee separations.
• Assist with HR data entry, form review, and proper routing of personnel documentation.
• Generate, analyze, and reconcile HR reports related to staffing, payroll, and performance.
• Maintain electronic Official Personnel Files (eOPF) and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Support audits, data calls, and HR compliance reporting activities.
• Respond to employee and supervisor HR-related inquiries.
• Provide administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, and tracking HR actions.
• Assist in maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HR regulations and policies.
• Support lower-level personnel staff when required.
Requirements:
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR database systems.
• Excellent typing skills (minimum 65 WPM).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential HR data responsibly.
• U.S. citizenship required for facility authorization.
• Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
