Overview:
Solari, Inc. is hiring a compassionate Peer Support Specialist to deliver empathetic, recovery-focused phone support from home. This remote role requires candidates to live in Colorado and offers a structured shift pattern to provide consistent peer-to-peer connection for callers seeking emotional support and resources.
Work Schedule:
- Shifts: Sunday, Tuesday–Thursday, Saturday
- Hours: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM (per scheduled shift)
- Note: Immediate remote work from home; applicants must be Colorado residents.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide warm, respectful, and non-judgmental phone support using person-first language and mutual, recovery-oriented engagement.
- Listen actively to callers experiencing loneliness, fear, isolation or lack of supports and help them clarify feelings and coping strategies.
- Encourage hope, self-direction and empowerment rather than offering direct solutions.
- Share information about community-based services and referrals when appropriate.
- Recognize crisis situations and follow established procedures to connect callers to crisis services.
- Document all significant interactions in the electronic health record in accordance with organizational policy.
- Operate within HIPAA standards when using or disclosing protected health information.
- Contribute to call center initiatives and collaborate with team members to maintain service quality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Lived experience in recovery and the ability to use that experience to connect authentically with callers.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; empathetic and patient approach.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and act accountably to individuals served.
- Demonstrated reliability for scheduled shifts, meetings and training.
- Openness to feedback, continuous learning and personal/professional growth.
Education & Experience:
- Prior experience working as a Peer/Recovery Support Specialist is preferred.
- At least one year of office volunteer or paid work experience required.
- Completion of Peer/Recovery Support Specialist certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- GED or high school diploma required.
Technical Requirements:
- Remote role — must be a Colorado resident.
- Wired Ethernet connection required (Cat5e or better). Wi-Fi / wireless-only connections are not permitted. Organization can provide Ethernet cabling if needed.
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $19.66 USD – $21.69 USD (final placement within range will depend on applicable education and experience).
