We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Tax Administrator to manage payroll processing and compliance for league staff and professional athletes across multiple jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in payroll systems, tax compliance, and Excel, and the ability to handle a high volume of payroll requests accurately and confidentially.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing & Administration

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for employees and players using ADP Workforce Now
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll runs, including salaries, bonuses, incentives, and benefits
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local tax regulations

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Oversee multi-jurisdictional tax filings and adherence to labor laws
  • Prepare payroll tax reports and support audits as required

System Management & Data Integrity

  • Serve as the primary liaison with ADP Comprehensive Services for payroll and tax administration
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee data across payroll platforms

Analytics & Volume Management

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis
  • Efficiently manage a high volume of payroll-related requests

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, People & Culture, and Legal teams to align payroll processes with organizational goals
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll and tax matters

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll, including multi-jurisdictional payroll and tax compliance

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage high-volume requests

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or industries with complex compensation structures
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements
