XBOW is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll and commission operations for a growing global workforce. This role is critical to ensuring employees and sales teams are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time across multiple countries.

The Payroll Specialist will collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Sales Operations, and external vendors to deliver seamless payroll and commission processes. Expertise in payroll platforms such as Remote, Rippling, and Spiff is required, along with knowledge of multi-country payroll compliance and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations (Multi-Country)
• Process payroll end-to-end across multiple countries using Remote and Rippling.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Manage payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, and benefits deductions.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers and authorities as needed.
• Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and accruals.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Commission Management
• Calculate, validate, and process commission payments accurately and on schedule.
• Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to review commission plans and payouts.
• Audit commission calculations and resolve disputes.
• Ensure commission data integrates accurately with payroll systems.

Compliance, Controls & Reporting
• Maintain payroll and commission documentation, controls, and audit trails.
• Support internal and external payroll audits.
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc payroll and commission reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Success Metrics
• Employees and sales teams are paid accurately and on time.
• Payroll and commission processes are compliant, auditable, and scalable.
• Clear documentation and reporting support Finance and leadership.
• Continuous improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.

Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in global payroll or commission processing.
• Hands-on experience with Remote, Rippling, and Spiff.
• Strong knowledge of multi-country payroll compliance and statutory requirements.
• Experience reconciling payroll and commission data with accounting systems.
• High attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines across time zones.
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Bonus Skills
• Payroll experience in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, or QuickBooks.
• Experience in high-growth or SaaS environments.
