Description:
We are currently hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing remote-first team. This role supports a diverse portfolio of clients across the United States and offers exposure to multiple industries, payroll systems, and compliance environments. While this is a fully remote position open nationwide, there may be occasional in-person working sessions for candidates located near the team or involved in special projects.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞:


This is not a traditional in-house payroll position. As a Payroll Specialist, you will work across multiple client accounts, becoming a trusted extension of their teams. You will deliver high-touch, white-glove payroll support while continuously expanding your technical knowledge in a fast-paced, modern, and collaborative environment.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨:


• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls for multiple clients across various states
• Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, compensation updates, garnishments, and tax adjustments
• Respond to employee and client inquiries related to payroll, deductions, earnings, and compliance matters
• Review and audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
• Coordinate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to meet payroll deadlines
• Stay up to date with payroll legislation, regulatory updates, and industry best practices
• Learn and adapt quickly to client-specific payroll systems and internal technology tools
• Support compliance with state-specific wage, labor, and tax regulations

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫:


• Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably supporting multiple clients or locations
• Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals with exceptional attention to detail
• Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to work across platforms such as Paylocity, Paycor, Gusto, and similar systems
• Comfortable communicating with clients and employees via email and video conferencing
• Adaptable, curious learner who thrives in a remote work environment
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll compliance is a strong plus
• Experience with HCM, HRIS, or related platforms is an added advantage
