As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Payroll Specialist (Part-Time) to manage payroll processes for multiple clients.

The Payroll Specialist will act as a dedicated resource for clients, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, handling financial data, and managing all payroll cycles and benefits-related tasks. This role requires working independently while also collaborating with other team members to support client payroll operations.

Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for client employees.
  • Enter payroll and administrative data into databases and software programs.
  • Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions.
  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits.
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation and transaction records.
  • Prepare and distribute income statements.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and account balance checks.
  • Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Update payroll-related information and manage payroll workflow.
  • Lead payroll functions and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Work with precision and attention to detail in all payroll matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to other payroll and HR professionals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
  • Experience with payroll and accounting software.
  • Broad knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance (FLSA, FICA, ACA, garnishments, multi-state payroll, year-end reporting).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Applications; advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and self-motivation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years processing payroll.
  • 3+ years in HR roles (HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; payroll certifications are a plus.
