Crowe, a leading global consulting and accounting firm, is seeking a Payroll Processor to manage weekly payroll for hourly employees. This role requires attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure accurate payroll operations while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for hourly staff in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
  • Audit electronic timecards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve timesheet discrepancies and exceptions.
  • Process retroactive payments, overtime, corrections, and payroll adjustments.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and leaders to validate hours and resolve payroll issues.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation aligned with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other teams on payroll-related inquiries and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably with weekly payroll for hourly employees.
  • Experience auditing timecards and reconciling payroll discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, overtime rules, and wage & hour laws.
  • Proficiency with payroll/timekeeping systems (ADP, Workday, UKG/Kronos, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with employees and leaders.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in professional services or multi-location environments.
  • Knowledge of retro payments and complex payroll adjustments.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Open to candidates from across the United States, not limited to proximity to a Crowe office.
