This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who can bridge technical solutions and business needs, ensuring efficient payroll processing, system testing, and data integrity.

The selected candidate will play a key role in global payroll initiatives, including testing system implementations, supporting payroll-impacting projects, conducting reconciliations between payroll and accounting records, and providing backup support during absences. Working closely with People, Benefits, Accounting, and Operations teams, the Payroll Operations Specialist ensures seamless payroll operations while maintaining compliance and enhancing the overall team member experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support global payroll-impacting projects and drive change management for improved efficiency and accuracy
• Lead payroll testing for system upgrades, process changes, and integrations, documenting results clearly
• Collaborate with People, Benefits, Accounting, and Operations teams to align requirements, timelines, and deliverables
• Conduct reconciliations of payroll and accounting records to identify variances and define remediation plans
• Maintain and enhance payroll data integrity across systems and tools
• Provide proactive communication and guidance to internal partners on payroll processes, impacts, and timelines
• Support end-to-end payroll processing coverage during long-term absences to ensure continuity and compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll operations in a multi-country environment
• Practical knowledge of payroll accounting, including reconciling payroll and general ledger data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; ability to quickly learn new tools and systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex payroll processes to team members and vendors
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Familiarity with tools such as Workday, ADP, Papaya, MacOS, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms
• Demonstrated accountability, customer service focus, and collaborative teamwork
• Openness to learning, adapting to process changes, and applying transferable skills from related payroll, accounting, or operations roles
