Description:
Community Veterinary Partners, LLC is seeking a dedicated Payroll Associate to join our remote team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role acts as a liaison between location managers and the payroll processing department, supporting multi-state payroll for over 3,500 employees. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADP WorkforceNow, strong analytical abilities, and a solid understanding of payroll procedures, taxes, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and timelines
  • Calculate pro-rata salaries, garnishments, PTO payouts, catch-ups, and adjustments
  • Communicate and resolve payroll issues between location managers and payroll team
  • Research, analyze, and resolve complex payroll discrepancies
  • Capture, record, and analyze weekly payroll variances
  • Obtain approvals for supplemental payments, incentives, and bonuses
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
  • Assign PTO policy and maintain balances
  • Respond to inquiries from location managers, staff, and support teams
  • Collect and store documents electronically and manually
  • Review unused deductions and monitor goals
  • Collaborate with ADP support for issue resolution
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and support audit activities
  • Complete VOEs and agency request forms
  • Attend periodic HR and payroll meetings
  • Assist Payroll Manager with special projects

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with ADP WorkforceNow platform
  • 3–5 years of payroll processing experience
  • 2–4 years of payroll tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, laws, and taxes
