Kodiak Solutions is currently looking for a highly detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Associate to become a valuable part of our team. WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, you will assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, maintain payroll records, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. This position plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity of payroll data and supporting employees with any payroll-related concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare semi-monthly payroll data, including garnishments, HSA contributions, and 401(k) deductions
- Review timecards to confirm accuracy and completeness; follow up with departments for any missing information
- Assist in entering payroll changes such as bonuses, tax adjustments, and deductions
- Support preparation and auditing of reports related to payroll income and unemployment taxes
- Communicate with state agencies to resolve tax discrepancies
- Maintain payroll files and internal audit trackers
- Record, enter, and audit garnishments, levies, and child support deductions
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and helpful manner
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure changes such as new hires, terminations, and raises are correctly applied
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business is a plus
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll or related admin role
- Comfortable using Dayforce HRIS system and proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Some understanding of payroll laws and taxation
- Experience handling multi-state payroll preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with care
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills
- A background in accounting is advantageous
- FPP Certification is a plus
