Pearson – Payroll Assistant (Limited Term Employment)
Pearson is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team on a limited-term basis. This role focuses on supporting payroll operations, handling administrative payroll tasks, and assisting with benefits and pension processes. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to payroll activities in the US and Canada and support various HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with year-end payroll activities in the US, including communication distribution, tax-related processes, preparation of W2 forms, and tax location review.
- Act as a critical resource for payroll during company acquisitions in the US and Canada.
- Collaborate with payroll administrators, Compliance and Governance teams, HR stakeholders, and other relevant teams as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
- Utilize HRIS and payroll systems for accurate payroll processing.
- Support payroll reporting, problem-solving, and process improvement initiatives.
Who You Are:
- Fresh graduates or professionals with at least 1 year of payroll experience.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with remote and on-site teams.
