We are seeking a Payment Operations Associate to join our Business Operations Department, performing clerical and administrative duties to facilitate client payment settlements. The role involves collaborating with creditors, agencies, and law offices to negotiate the best possible savings for each client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily settlement pipelines and exception reporting for payment setups and clearing.
  • Communicate with creditors and agencies via phone and email to resolve payment exceptions.
  • Acquire and verify documentation required for successful payment remittance.
  • Request proof of payment from collection agencies, creditors, and third-party payment processors.
  • Monitor accumulation of funds in banking ledgers and ensure sufficient account balances.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental functions to respond to inquiries and support internal processes.
  • Scan and attach documents to client accounts within Salesforce.
  • Multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Assist with word processing, correspondence, and proofreading tasks.
  • Manage multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and last-minute changes.
  • Undertake special projects and other assignments as directed.
  • Handle escalation issues with accuracy and thorough research.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred or 3–5 years of related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse work styles and management levels.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $25—$27 USD, with actual salary dependent on experience, skills, performance, and location. Full-time employees are eligible for additional benefits as listed above.
