Mission
- Produces high quality desert pudding, icing, and fancy pastries and creates new design and recipes to prepare confection,
- Assign specific baking task and direct worker in task performance
- Measures and mixes ingredients such as flour, flavoring and fruit to form concoctions,
- Kneads Dough into desired shape ad place dough in the oven
- Turns oven control to regulate temperature and set time cycle for baking products.
- Decorates products with icing designs, using spatula and cream bag
- Inspect pastry shop and baking equipment and worker for cleanliness
- He/She will have to prepare their own inventory list for their station,
- He/She should have the Ability knowledge and skills to fill in for another chef when he or she is absent from another station, thus basic overall knowledge is required
- Has to make sure that standard recipes and plating guides are followed at all time in his or her outlet
Specific Requirements
- Proven experience as a pastry chef in a 5 star luxury hotel,
- Great attention to detail and creativity
- Organizing and leadership skills
- Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
- Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitation (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless, etc.)
- Certificate in culinary art pastry making, baking or relevant field
