Description:
The University of Sharjah is seeking a Part-time Research Assistant to support an ongoing qualitative research project. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a strong academic background and practical experience in qualitative research methods, data collection, and analysis within healthcare or public health fields.
The selected candidate will assist with research activities including interviews, focus groups, data analysis, and fieldwork across the UAE. Applicants with experience in qualitative research publications and proficiency in research analysis software are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support ongoing qualitative research activities and project requirements.
• Conduct interviews and focus group discussions as part of data collection.
• Assist with thematic analysis and interpretation of qualitative data.
• Use qualitative data analysis software for research organization and analysis.
• Support documentation, reporting, and preparation of research materials.
• Travel across the UAE for research data collection activities when required.
• Contribute to research outputs and academic publications.
Requirements:
• Currently residing in the United Arab Emirates.
• Native Arabic speaker with excellent Arabic and English communication skills.
• Master’s Degree in Public Health is preferred, or a related Health Sciences, Medical, or Healthcare discipline.
• Experience conducting qualitative research, including interviews, focus groups, and thematic analysis.
• Experience using qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo, MAXQDA, or ATLAS.ti.
• Previous record of research publications involving qualitative research.
• Willingness to travel across the UAE for data collection.
• Strong research, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Qualitative research methodologies and data collection techniques.
• Thematic analysis and qualitative data interpretation.
• Research software including NVivo, MAXQDA, and ATLAS.ti.
