We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Logistics to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This role is ideal for a seasoned logistics professional who can lead full-cycle logistics operations while ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination across departments.
Role Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee all logistics activities including inventory oversight, vendor coordination, warehousing, transportation, and adherence to UAE logistics regulations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day logistics operations such as inbound and outbound shipments, warehouse activities, and transportation.
- Track logistics KPIs, optimize operational costs, and enhance delivery turnaround times.
- Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs officials, and third-party logistics partners.
- Manage vendor interactions, negotiate contracts, and ensure all service-level agreements are met.
- Supervise inventory management, warehouse workflows, and stock planning processes.
- Drive operational improvements and generate detailed reports for senior management.
- Ensure strict compliance with UAE customs requirements, Dubai Trade systems, and port regulations.
- Lead and mentor the logistics team, promoting operational efficiency and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of logistics operations experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of UAE logistics regulations, customs processes, and port operations.
- Proven expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as CSCP or CILT.
- Experience working within IT distribution or the MEA region.
