Description:
Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, is seeking an Operations Claims Specialist to join our Building Solutions team. This role ensures consistent service delivery, supports Claims Consultants, and maintains internal financial commitments while tracking claim deadlines and analyzing construction documents. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, reporting trends, and ensuring customer expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Claims Consultants throughout all phases of claim management.
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and enhance process documentation.
- Participate in monthly Claims Status, Local Market Backlog Reviews, and team meetings.
- Serve as Publisher and Editor for team claims (affirmative and defensive).
- Conduct research, fact gathering, document retention, and e-discovery.
- Provide feedback to the Manager of Construction Claims and Claims Consultants.
- Maintain the integrity of project data for forecasting, scheduling, and staffing.
- Prioritize work based on financial impact and business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Ability to proofread and detect errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
- Strong communication skills to represent JCI and interact with clients at various levels.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
