Concentra, a national leader in occupational healthcare with over four decades of industry experience, is hiring a Remote Onboarding Specialist to support our growing workforce. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for new hires across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the electronic onboarding process, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Work closely with vendors to arrange drug screening, background verification, credential checks, and I-9 completion.
- Provide prompt and professional support to candidates, colleagues, and hiring managers regarding onboarding queries and documentation requirements.
- Identify and resolve any onboarding challenges or compliance concerns; escalate issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with third-party service providers for background checks, drug tests, and E-Verify processing.
- Maintain organized and survey-ready digital personnel files by uploading relevant documentation.
- Continuously assess and suggest improvements to enhance the onboarding experience and process efficiency.
- Order employee photo badges for designated states (Tennessee and Pennsylvania).
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution required; equivalent education and/or relevant experience may substitute.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, ideally in onboarding, compliance, employee relations, or recruitment.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Solid understanding of federal and state employment regulations.
- Familiarity with I-9 processing and new hire orientation protocols is advantageous.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience using applicant tracking systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
