Description:

SSM Health is seeking an Office Assistant to provide administrative support for clinics, departments, or programs. This remote opportunity is available for candidates residing in Illinois, Oklahoma, Missouri, or Wisconsin, with a regular Monday to Friday work schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The selected candidate will support daily office operations by managing clerical tasks, assisting patients and healthcare teams, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth administrative processes. This role is ideal for an organized individual with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative duties under established guidelines and supervision.

• Welcome patients and visitors while providing professional assistance.

• Answer, screen, and route telephone calls appropriately.

• Manage filing, mail distribution, copying, appointment scheduling, and general clerical tasks.

• Assist with programs and software used by healthcare providers when required.

• Assemble and maintain patient charts and records.

• Maintain office inventory, order supplies, and ensure office equipment remains functional.

• Request repairs or maintenance support for office equipment when needed.

• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members regarding patient care according to established protocols.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

• No previous experience required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Clear and respectful communication skills.

• Strong teamwork abilities.
