Description:
Genfocus UAE is looking for an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead and manage MEP activities for high-rise building projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MEP construction, project execution, coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
The successful candidate will oversee project planning, team management, technical coordination, quality control, and delivery milestones while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage overall MEP project activities, including execution, schedules, manpower planning, procurement, and project milestones.
• Lead MEP teams and coordinate effectively with Main Contractors, Consultants, Clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Firefighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, BMS, and other building services.
• Review shop drawings, BIM models, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all MEP installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate MEP activities with architectural, structural, civil, façade, and specialist works.
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs, variations, resources, and subcontractor performance.
• Lead testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and final project handover.
• Ensure HSE, QA/QC, and project documentation requirements are properly maintained.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to MEP engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of overall MEP experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an MEP Project Manager or managerial position.
• Proven experience managing high-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP construction, coordination, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and relevant engineering standards.
• Strong knowledge of:
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, and BMS systems.
• MEP project coordination and execution.
• Testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
