Description:
Saudi German Hospital Dubai is currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Physicist / Radiation & Laser Safety Officer to support clinical excellence and ensure the highest level of safety in the use of radiation and laser-based medical systems.
This role is essential in maintaining compliance, improving equipment performance, and ensuring safe clinical operations across multiple departments within the hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage radiation & laser safety compliance across all hospital departments
• Ensure quality assurance, calibration, and performance checks of medical equipment on a regular basis
• Monitor radiation exposure levels for both patients and healthcare staff to ensure safety standards are strictly maintained
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and implement updated safety protocols when required
• Work closely with doctors, technicians, and clinical teams to improve treatment accuracy and patient outcomes
• Provide training sessions and promote a strong culture of safety awareness across the organization
• Ensure full compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital safety policies
Requirements:
• Degree in Medical Physics or related field from a recognized institution
• DHA license or eligibility to practice in Dubai
• Proven experience in radiation safety and quality assurance systems
• Strong understanding of UAE healthcare regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Prior experience in hospital or clinical settings is preferred
• UAE-based candidates will be given priority consideration
